In De Panne you will not only find the widest beach on the Belgian coast, but also the extensive nature reserve 'De Westhoek'. Ideal for long walks. In the nature reserve there is also a trail for horses and a separate circuit for mountain bikes.

When you say De Panne, you say gastronomy. There is an extensive range of restaurants to please everyone's taste.

the cozy center includes a nice choice of shops and businesses that are worth a visit.

Plopsaland De Panne and Plopsaqua are the attractions of choice for the younger generation. There is also a lot of fun stuff for adults in the park.

In Koksijde you will of course find the world famous shrimp fishermen on horseback. Linked to this, the Navigo fishing museum offers an educational visit for the parents and a playful tour for the kids.

In addition, in Koksijde you also have the Ten Duinen museum and the Delvaux museum.

The extensive seafront that extends from Sint Idesbald to Koksijde is a nice walk. Or maybe you want to try one of the many 'cuisse-tax' or go-carts, also called 'billekarren' in Flemish.

Also nice to know: the Coastal Tram follows the trip along the coast. Getting off and on where you want means you never have to return on foot. There are frequent stops.

Nieuwpoort is known for its beautiful marina, fashionable shopping center along the beachfront, the pier and the fishing port.

You can take a beautiful walk along the mouth of the Yzer.

There is also the Albert I monument with its museum about WWI and WWII.

In the summer, a cruise departs from Nieuwpoort along the Yzer to Diksmuide. Seastar also provides a nice excursion with its cruise in the harbor.

Fresh fish from the fishing port can be found in the various fish shops along the quay of Nieuwpoort.

Veurne has one of the cutest market squares in West Flanders. You 'll find the weekly market there every Wednesday. On the other days it is nice to stop at the market square of Veurne.

The bakery museum is an attractive choice to let the kids learn about the bakery.

Exploring Veurne and surroundings by bike is a good idea. The Polders are flat, so no mountains to climb :).

In Westvleteren you will find the best beer in the world in the Sint Sixtus Abbey. You can only taste the unique beer in their braserie 'In de Vrede'. As they say in the Michelin guide: worthy of a detour.

A bike ride to and from De Sint Sixtus abbey is about 60 Km along the cycling paths.

If you go by car, you can combine this with a visit to Ypres or Poperinge, for example.

The center of Ypres is dominated by World War I. You will visit 'In Flanders Fields'. If you follow the city walls on foot you will arrive at the famous Menin Gate.

There are also various nature reserves and places around Ypres where you can easily picknick.
